You will be responsible to carry out transactional Supply Chain functions and act as the front face of Supply Chain to support maintenance tasks and procure aviation spares and tools to support maintenance activities in Qatar Airways technical department. You will carry out pre-load of materials for Light and Heavy Maintenance events. You will raise various orders including Purchase orders, Repair orders, Exchange orders and Loan orders in coordination with Technical Planning, MOCC and Engineering.
Key Accountabilities include:
Ensure TPM and department procedures are strictly followed for compliance.
Monitor and supervise the work flow of reporting assistants as applicable.
Communicate and provide support for Light and Heavy Maintenance events and interact with relevant stakeholders to meet service expectations.
Receive Aircraft Materials Requisitions (AMR's) PUR's and ensure orders are raised to support operations.
Use Price catalogues where available or Request for Quotes (RFQ) from approved sources to negotiate best price and delivery time on purchase, loan or exchange basis.
Monitor open/overdue orders, in-fulfilled exchange and loan orders to ensure supplies are made at the earliest.
Action potential shortage items identified by planning for expediting.
Expedite overdue orders with Manufacturers/Vendors/Suppliers to ensure supply is made to support operations.
Follow up with suppliers for technical data relating to material/tool requirement to ensure that all supply chain activities are completed without any delay to operations.
Provide assistance to AOG desk to clear demands by determining if required parts are available on next higher or lower assemblies as available in stock.
Investigate availability of alternate and/or interchangeable part numbers based on airframe/engine manufacturers approved technical documentation to ensure support and ensure data integrity.
Expediting removed components for repair by coordinating with technical records, warranty, stores, and repair group and create repair orders as required for Rotable and Repairable spares.
Ensure all shelf life items are procured from fresh stock with a minimum of 80% SL remaining.
Ensure fulfillment of material receipt requirement from suppliers.


About You: We are looking for candidates having at least Trade or Vocational qualification and we prefer University/ High school graduate or engineering diploma with high grading from a recognized college or university. You should have minimum of 4 years of job related experience within an airline's technical or supply chain department.
